The Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show in Las Vegas is a unique event for sports lovers and tailgaters. New Product Consulting attended the show last year and made some great connections with people from the industry. It is an important event for merchandising and licensing in sports.

The show was such a hit last year it is upgrading to the Las Vegas Convention Center in order to accommodate a grilling demo area that will draw many more tailgating exhibitors. The move will consequently bring in more buyers from an ever-widening range of categories.

A large number of major retailers sent buyers to the show last year, including Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Target, Wal-Mart, Sears/K-Mart, BJs Wholesale, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Champs, Lids, Barnes & Noble, Follett and several professional sports teams, including the Yankees and Cowboys.

Over the last twenty years, Tailgating has become a rising industry. It is poised to become a force to be reckoned with as a driver of business for retailers, sports teams and major consumer brands. If you or anyone you know has an invention in the booming tailgating industry and needs help, please contact us at New Product Consulting.
