The shark tank at the National Marine Aquarium...Aly Lessor invented the Cozy Bug pillowcase dresses which grow with kids. She walked into Shark Tank offering $50,000 in exchange for 25% equity in her company. In the months leading up to the show, she has done online sales of $300,000 within 30 days time. Cozy Bug is the perfect product for the Sharks.

The clothes are designed to be adjusted to make room for changing body sizes making them perfect for growing children. Cozy Bug carries a wide range of expandable dresses and jackets.

Mark Cuban liked the product but opted out quickly after hearing her overall goals for the company. Kevin O’Leary saw the potential and offered $50,000 for zero equity in the business but wanted a percentage of every dress sold. Aly didn’t like that offer as she turned to the other Sharks for deals.

Lori Greiner offered the $50,000 but wanted 30% equity to get Cozy Bug nationwide. Daymond John then stepped up and made the same offer saying, “This is my area and I can make you a millionaire quicker.” It is always great when two Sharks are fighting for your business. After bickering back and forth over who sold more women and girls apparel, Aly stepped in and tried to get the two Sharks to work together. No such luck.

In the end, Lori pulled out a check to sign if Aly would take her offer. Aly did not take well to Lori’s ultimatum and accepted Daymond’s offer. If you or anyone you know has an invention idea, please contact us at New Product Consulting.
