The shark tank at the National Marine Aquarium...Moshe Weiss walked into Shark Tank asking for a $54,000 investment for 26% equity in his company with a product called Sound Bender. The Sound Bender is a powerless iPad accessory that amplifies the sound by several times. You simply connect the power bender to any iPad device with built-in magnet’s and it bends the sound from the back and directly amplifies it to the front for a dramatic increase in sound.

Lucky for Moshe, he had the Sharks laughing and having a good time unlike some of the other entrepreneurs who showcased their products last Friday. But they all stopped and listened when he told them his product costs about a dollar and retails for $12.99 each.

Weiss has sold 7,000 Sound Bender’s in the past 6 months making the Sharks circle even more for deals.  Barbara wanted to know how she would get her money back from this invention. Moshe responded,  “I will write you a check.”  Daymond John made the first offer of 40% of the business for the $54,000, if indeed a Walgreen’s deal can be completed. Robert Herjevic made the same offer but would take Moshe’s word on the Walgreen’s deal.

In the end, Moshe decided to swim with Daymond for his Sound Bender Business! If you or anyone you know needs help with their invention idea, please contact us at New Product Consulting.
