The key to having a successful Kickstarter project is having realistic goals and campaigning properly. Shorter Kickstarter campaigns tend to do better, with the average successful project lasting 38 days, compared to failed projects which averaged 43 days.

Kickstarter is proving to be promising for new inventors and start-ups. Out of all the projects with over $200 million pledged it appears more ventures are successful then fail. A little more than 8% have received double the end goal.

It is also more common for lower funded projects to meet their goal then higher priced ones. This is great for new inventors looking to make a website or prototype.

More sites are popping up daily for crowdfunding online. The right campaign and initiative can go a long way for raising money. If you need help with your invention, please contact us at New Product Consulting.
